When writing a sermon, there are a million directions you can go when deciding what you want to say. Part of the struggle, is that you have to pick one or two things (my preaching professor would say, “Pick ONE GOOD THING.”). But there are still those other 999,999 other interesting things that just don’t fit. This is the place I will put them.
When structuring a bible study, there are some things that you just can’t bring to the table because you know it isn’t what folks are looking for or it wont spark good conversation with that particular group. So, those ideas will come here.
When I am needing to hear a good word or work out an idea, I’ll write it here.
I make no promises on how often I will write or how much. I make no promises that it will be interesting for you or worth your time to read. I mean, heck, I tend to think every sermon I write is garbage, but I often forget that the Spirit was involved. What hubris to think that I am the only thing that plays a factor the quality of my writing.
But if you’re curious about the inner workings of my brain, my struggles, and my weird ideas about scripture, faith, and life, check out my posts. See if you like them.
